Human Concern International (HCI) is a Canadian based charitable relief and development organization. HCI was established in 1980. HCI is managed by high caliber professional staff and well trained volunteers. HCI Pakistan was officially established in 1984. Initially the main objective was to provide relief assistance to Afghan refugees in Pakistan. But with passage of time its scope has been widened and HCI Pakistan office has been named as HCI South Asia Division to look its activities in the region.
HCI activities expend in different areas, such as Pakistan, Kashmir and Afghanistan. HCI Pakistan also provided relief assistance to the poor needy families in Tajikistan, emergency relief food and medicines to the earthquake affected area in Iran and constructed a poly clinic in Bam Iran. Since its establishment HCI has implemented numerous successful projects in Pakistan, Kashmir and Afghanistan.
HCI has continuously provided relief assistance in Kashmir after disastrous earthquake of 8th Oct 2005, HCI working in education sector, health sector and working on skills training and empowerment projects in Kashmir. HCI has also started reconstruction and rehabilitation projects for the affected population in Kashmir.
HCI Pakistan (South Asia Division) is being supported by its mother organization HCI Canada and other donor agencies such as, Mercy International USA, CIDA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNDP, WFP, Health Partners International and WHO for their project implementation.
